Johnson Quarries Inc · Accident type, without injuries

Excavator operator noticed smoke under the hood. Operator got the fire extinguisher and exited the excavator. Realized that could not safely put out the fire, so evacuated the area and called 911. Foreman called and reported accident to MSHA.
