2 MEN WERE ATTEMPTING TO REPRIME A 6" WATER PUMP THAT HAD LOST ITS PRIME AND GOTTEN HOT. WHEN THEY OPENED THE PRIMING PORT HOT WATER SPRAYED OUT RESULTING IN 1 ST AND 2 ND DEGREE BURNS TO ONE MANS RIGHT LEG.
EMPLOYEE INFORMED MANAGEMENT HE WAS HAVING SURGERY JAN 13, 2000. THIS WAS THE FIRST TIME ANYONE WAS AWARE HE INJURED HIMSELF. NOBODY KNEW WHEN HE INJURED HIMSELF.
