A mechanic was working near a guard that was being set in place by 2 other employees. The guard slipped out of the 2 employees' hands. It slid to the side and pinched the mechanic's left ring finger between another piece of metal. The mechanic had a small puncture wound that went through glove. Injury required 2 stitches at ER.

Employee performing maintenance on crusher on windy day. Debris picked up by wind & blew into right eye. Employee used eyewash station to remove debris from eye. Irritation from eyewash and debris caused abrasion of cornea. Employee was seen at the ER and followed up with ophthalmologist. Employee was wearing safety glasses. Employee given antibiotic for eye & returned to work.
