Employee was grinding down old welds inside the trommel when the grinder kicked back, left hand slid forward resulting in left middle finger wedging in between the grinding disc & the grinder guard. This cause a moderate abrasion near the 3rd knuckle. The employee cleaned & bandage it then returned to work.
