WORKER WAS WORKING UNDER A SCREEN TOWER CHANING GATES WHEN SOMETHING FELL INTO HIS EYE. APPARENTLY DIRT AND METAL PARTICLES FELL INTO HIS EYE AND SOME IMBEDDED IN THE TISSUE. HE WEN TO THE EME RGENCY ROOM LATER AND THE DR ANESTHETIZED HIS EYE AND USING A COTTON SWAB REMOVED MOST OF THE METAL FROM HIS EYE. A LIQUID DROP WAS APPLIED. THE EYE WAS NOT DAMAGED SERIOUSLY.

INJURED FIRST RECEIVED A HERNIA WHILE WORKING FOR PBM, SCAPPOSE, OR IN 1972. HE HAS HAD IT OPERATED ON BEFORE BUT IT HAS CONTINUED TO BOTHER HIM. IT HURTS ALL THE TIME NOW. ON 12-2-91 HE WA S CHANGING A SHAKER SCREEN AND WHILE PULLING AND LIFTING IT OUT, HE FELT THE BURNING IN HIS ABDOMEN. IT HAS BEEN DIFFICULT TO KEEP THE HERNIA PUSHED IN. HE NEEDS TO HAVE SURGERY AND HAVE IT
