WHILE WORKING ON CUTTER CHAIN ON THE DREDGE THE VICTIM'S GLOVE WAS CAUGHT BY A V-BELT AND PULLED HIS FINGER INTO THE SHIV. WORKERS HAD TO RUN THE CHAIN TO GET ALL THE SLACK OUT OF IT. THEN BLO CK THE BELT TO PREVENT THE SLACK FROM RUNNING BACK. THE VICTIM TRIED TO BLOCK THE BELT BE FOR IT STOPPED.
