Team member was climbing off a piece of equipment maintaining three points of contact and slipped on a step straining their back. At the time EE felt a pull, but it didn't hurt. The injury progressively got worse and the team member determined EE needed to seek medical attention on August 7th.

EE was cleaning out tracks on 230 excavator John Deere. Working with a shovel he bent down to reach under track and at a angle on his knee when he thinks the damage occurred.

Going up ramp to put bucket of sand in hopper. Raising bucket to get to right height to dump. Malfunction caused bucket to free drop. Operator stopped free-fall with control lever causing a sudden stop, causing operator to be thrown against seat belt violently causing whiplash to legs and back.
