TWO EMLOYEES WERE CHANGING THE HINGE PIN ONA 170 TON WABCO ON THE RIGHT REAR SIDE. THE INJURED EMLOYEE CLIMBED A LADDER ONTO THE TIRE ON THA SIDE AS HE WAS ATTEMPTING TO WELD A KEEPER IN PLAC E. APPARENTLY THE INJURED EMPLOYEE SLIPPED FROM THE TIRE OR LADDER AND FELL BACK ABOUT 8' ONTO HIS HEAD. HIS CO-WORKER HEARD HIM FALL AND SUMMONED HELP.

THE EMPLOYEE, AN ELECTRICIAN, WAS CALLED TO THE MINE TO REPOWER 793 DRILL FROM THE "IRON HORSE" 4160 VOLT POWER DISTRIBUTION CENTER BY THE MINE FOREMAN. #4 CUBICLE WOULD NOT "RACK IN" THUS POW ER WAS TO BE CONNECTED FROM #1 CUBICLE. #1 HAD A BLOWN FUSE THUS THE VICTIM ELECTED TO PULL A FUSE FROM #4 TO IN #1. RETURNING TO #4, THE VICTIM OPENED THE DOOR AND GRABBED FOR A FUSE. THE FU
