Investigator narrative
A BLOCK OF STONE HAD BEEN SEPARATED FROM THEMAIN LEDGE. IT WAS THEN TURNED OVER ON ITS ISDE FOR SPLITTING INTO TWO PIECES. ONEEND OF THE BLOCK WAS PICKED UP BY MEANS OF A WIRE SLING. DEGARMO W AS ATTEMPTING TO SLIDE A TIRE UNDER THE BLOCK AND THE SLING BROKE LETTING THE BLOCK FALL TO THE FLOOR. IT STRUCK A HIGH PLACE CAUSING PART OF THE BLOCK TO SEPARATE AND FALL ON TOP OF HIM.
