EMPLOYEE WAS WORKING IN AREA 289 OF THE UG MINE. HE WAS ATTEMPTING TO GET ELECTRICAL POWER TO THE WELDING MACHINE. THE CABLE FROM THE WELDER HAD BEEN LAID OUT. HE WENT TO THE FAN AND PICKED UP THE 480 VOLT ENERGIZED CABLE. HE RECEIVED AN ELECTRIC SHOCK FROM ONE DAMAGED PHASE LEAD.
