Whitaker Aggregates · Fall from machine

EE was preparing to enter the cab of a haul truck. Witness saw EE falling from the door platform to the ground, 10'4" landing on back. After a brief loss of consciousness, EE was kept immobilized. Notable injuries included fractures to the ribs, spine & scapula. A brain bleed was discovered. Investigation is ongoing into what caused EE to proceed past the door & safety railings.

Report only, minor bruising to right shoulder occurred due to a fall. EE returned to full duty without restrictions. EE was taken to the hospital as a precaution. The EE fell while walking on a loader tire, instead of using the equipment ladder.
