While building a wall employee lost his grip on a concrete block and it fell on top of his left foot. This resulted in a small fracture of the metatarsal bone on the top of his foot. Not serious, however it will be lost time (2-weeks)?

While traveling along belt line on a mantrip in very low roof conditions, employees knees caught the roof and rolled him backwards. Did not miss work until May 29th, 2012 after doctors visit. Not serious injury told to rest lower back area for 1-2 weeks. Should be able to return to full capacity after that time.

No immediate accident. Employee has an occupational illness (miners knee).He had some swelling in his L-knee. Went to Dr. and was diagnosed with bursitis from excessive and repeated crawling. Going to have surgery on 3-14-2012 to clean up his knee. May be off of work 1-2 weeks. Prognosis good

At approx 2:00PM, a roof fall occurred on the #7 beltline. The fall was 100' in length and ranged from 7-15' high. The fall was located between walls 69 and 71 and adjacent to wall 70 along the 1st Northeast Mains.

Examiner went into return of 1st West Mains on the morning of 11/5/10 and discovered a roof fall which impaired his normal route of travel.

Victim was in between 2 cribs he had built. He noticed a piece of draw slate that needed pulled down. Using a rock bar, he pulled the 3 foot by 2 foot by 3 inch piece of draw rock. Unfortunately, the rock slid down the bar, pinching his right forearm against the crib. The sharp rock cut his skin and bent back his thumb.

The victim was loading supplies on a scoop bucket when a piece of draw slate fell from between the roof bolts and struck him on the left hand breaking his little finger. His hand was resting on the edge of the scoop bucket when the 1'x1'x2"" thick piece of slate fell. He was not operating scoop at the time.

a piece of draw slate fell from a height of 9 1/2', striking the continous miner operator ont he right hand causing injury to the index, and middle finger. The piece of rock was razor sharp on one end and approx. 1 1/2"" on the other, measuring 18""-20"" across. Broke 1-2 fingers.

While walking bent over in low coal, EE caught his (R) ear on a roof bolt plate. This required 4 stitches, returned to work same day. No lost time, medical only.

Roof rock fell out and hit drill steel. This caused the drill steel to bend. The bent drill steel hit employee's left hand on the back side. Returned to work 11-28-07.
