A Miner was injured while separating the forks on a Skid Steer that resulted in a sprain to Miner's left index finger.

While installing a metal collection box via use of a forklift to position in place and a ratchet strap being used to align bolt holes, employee placed hand on flange of metal box to brace self while releasing the ratchet strap. As the collection box made contact with the existing structure, the employees index finger became caught between the bolt flanges causing injury.

Employee was using a 1 inch impact wrench to tighten the tension bolts on the primary jaw crusher. The tension bolt broke and forced the employee's hand backwards. He mashed his ring finger between the impact wrench and toeboard.
