ROOF FALL IN #5 ENTRY 2 CROSSCUTS INBY SPAD #230. FALL WAS 40' X 20' X 8' - 10' HIGH. NO INJURIES. 48" RESIN ROOF BOLTS WERE BEING USED.

WHILE HELPING TO SET A TIMBER ON THE IN-BY CORNER OF 6XL CROSSCUT, A PIECE OF ROCK MEASURING 30" X 40" X 6" FELL HITTING EE ON THE HEAD. HE WAS TRANSPORTED TO RALEIGH GENERAL HOSPITAL AND DIAGNOSED WITH A FRACTURED VERTABRE.
