Operator erroneously handled the change of a roller. He did not use the appropriate tool for the link of the roller. When introducing the hands directly to the roller, roller was expelled & caused the operator an impact to the face. Took him to the hospital and they diagnosed a minor wound to his nose.

IN THE WAY THE ACCIDENT OCCURED EE WAS HAMMERING THE PLOW OR SHOVEL, A SPLINTER PIECE OF METAL FLEW AND HIT HIM ACROSS INT HE RIGHT HAND FINGER, HE DID NOT REALIZE THIS HAPPENED INTO HE WAS WA SHING HIS HANDS IN THE AFTERNOON.
