Wind gust stirred up dust that got in the employee's eye while walking. Notification that employee had gotten medical treatment, outside working hours, (eye flushing, antibiotics) wasn't received until 9/25/14.

EE was cleaning of rock and dirt off of a low-boy trailer by sweeping the material with his gloved hand. The employee contacted a steel splinter approximately 1 inch in length that penetrated his glove and pierced his right index finger nearly going completely through the finger.
