EMPLOYEE WAS REPLACING A TIE IN THE RAILROAD TRACK ON COMPANY PROPERTY. THE WOODEN HANDLED MALLET HE WAS HOLDING BROKE ON IMPACT OF A BLOW HE DIRECTED AT A TIE, & THE HANCLE THEN HIT HIS RIGHT HAND, INJURING TWO FINGERS. THE LITTLE FINGER END HAD TO BE SEWN BACK TOGETHER, THE RING FINGER WAS BRUSIED.
