Equipment operator with 3 weeks experience as a re-hire and 2 years experience previously with RGI, injured employee's ribs on employee's left side when employee fell approximately 4-5 feet on a rock. Employee was attempting to ascend a track mounted Volvo excavator.
WHILE DRIVING A METAL POST WITH DRIVER, ONE EMPLOYEE USING DRIVER CAUSED HARD HAT TO FALL OFF OF VICTIM AND POST DRIVER SLIPPED AND HIT VICTIM IN TOP OF HEAD CAUSING CUT.
HE WAS OPERATING A LOADER ON TOP OF STOCK PILE. LOADER GOT TO CLOSE TO EDGE AND SLID OFF OF PILE. HE INJURED RIGHT HEEL WHEN HE JUMPED CLEAR OF LOADER.
