EMPLOYEE WENT TO RELEASE A HANDWINCH ON THE DREDGE, HIS LEFT HAND SLIPPED OFF OF THE WINCH AND THE MIDDLE FINGER BECAME CAUGHT BETWEEN THE GEARS IN THE WINCH.

CABLE BECAME JAMMED IN THE WINCH EE PULLED ON THE CABLE TO FREE IT WHEN IT CAME FREE THE TENSION ON THE WINCH DRUM PULLED HIS HAND INTO THE WINCH BREAKING TWO OF HIS FINGERS.
