Metroplex Sand & Gravel LTD · Struck by falling object

A rock lodged behind a hopper wall three feet above and to the right of the miner's right foot slid and struck the foot in the inseam behind his right toe. First aid for minor bleeding was given and the miner was driven to a Care Now Facility. It is not known at this time whether the injury will heal itself over time or will need to be surgically repaired.

14" POLY-PIPE WAS IN PROCESS OF BEING REPAIRED OVER LAND. ONE END OF PIPE WAS SECURED WITH ROPE AND EMPLOYEE WAS INSTRUCTED TO KEEP PIPE FROM SLIDING INTO WATER- LITTLE RESISTANCE IF ANY WAS N EEDED ON PIPE. SOMEWHERE DURRING TIME EMPLOYEE WRAPPED ROPE AROUND WAIST-DURRING THIS TIME TRACK HOE MOVING ON ROAD TO REPAIR PIPE GRABBED ROPE AND CINCHED EMPLOYEE AT MID SECTION OF BODY.
