EE WAS PLACING HIS DRILL STEEL ON THE DRILL CHUCK TO BEGIN DRILLING. HIS GLOVE WAS BETWEEN THE CHUCK AND THE DRILL STEEL. WHEN HE STARTED THE ROTATION IT TWISTED HIS HAND & WRIST CAUSING THE A CCIDENT.

UNINTENIONAL ROOF FALL. 1ST LEFT OFF 4TH SOUTHWEST MAINS ABANDON WORKS #4 ENTRY 70' TO THE RIGHT OF SPAD #1028 17' TO 18' WIDE 7 TO 9' HIGH 70' TO 80' LONG.
EMPLOYEE STATED THAT HE HAD NOT BEEN INJURED. HE SAID THAT HE HAD JUST BLACKED OUT.. HE CALLED BACK TO MINE SITE WITH WORKER'S COMPENSATION QUESTIONS. MINE MANAGEMENT WAS TOLD ON 2-1-01 HE REMEMBERED STRIKING HIS HEAD, THIS INCIDENT IS REPORTABLE.
EE WAS BOLTING TOP. A PIECE OF DRAWROCK CAME DOWN THE DRILL STEEL. THE DRILL STEEL ROTATED THE ROCK CAUSING THE DRAWROCK TO STRIKE THE EE IN THE RIGHT SIDFE OF THE HEAD.
