WHILE WORKING O3 SODIUM HYDROXIDE PUMP, EXCESS FLUID IN THE LINES DRIPPED ONTO PUMP VALVES WHIOCXXX WHICH WERE BEING REPAIRED BY ALTHOUGH WORKER WAS WEARING RUBBER GLOVES. ALSO GOGGLES, FACE MASK AND RUBBE9 BOOTS ACID RAN DOWN GLOVE SLEEVE AND DRIPPED ONTO FOREARMS. HE WASHED AREA WITH WATER ANF VINEGAR TO NEUTRALIZE ACIDE AND FINISHED WORK SHIFT.

DURING ROUTINE 7ESTING OF EQUIPMENT, BEFORE THE INTIAL START. MINER WAS IN PROCESS OF REPAIRING SUMP PUMP WHEN ELECTRIC MTR. GOT HOT AND QUIT WORKING, INSTEAD OF TURNING OFF THE AIR HE CONTIN UED TO WORK AND3AS THE FLOATER SWITCH RACHED THE LEVEL TO TURN ON, THE RESULT WAS A BLAST OF AIR, WATER AND HYDROXIDE MIXTURE TO HIS FACE AT EYE LEVEL.
