Dredge operator dropped rock he was removing from the dredge pump on the pinky finger of his right hand and broke that finger. This finger & the ring finger were in a splint from a previous non-work related injury which may have affected his grasp on the rock. He will be on restricted duty for apx. 8 weeks.

HE WAS PULLING DISK WITH DOZER, STUMP LODGED BETWEEN DISK BLADES. OPERATOR STOPPED MACHINE, GOT OFF MACHINE. WHILE REMOVING STUMP, STUMP FELL ON HAND MASHING HAND AGAINST DISK METAL FRAME.
