SUBJECT WAS HELPING TO PUMP WATER FROM A BARGE. THEY HAD REMOVED A MANHOLE COVER IN PREPARATION FOR INSERTING THE PUMP. SUBJECT WAS STEPPING OVER THE MANHOLE, FOOT SLIPPED AND HE THREW HIS ARM TO STOP HIS FALL. HE THOUGHT HE SPRAINED HIS WRIST BUT SAID HE WAS ALRIGHT AND CONTINUED TO WORK. ON 1-14-92 HE REPORTED A SWELLING IN HIS WRIST AND THAT IT WAS STILL SORE. SENT HIM TO DOCTOR
