EE was blowing off and cleaning 4" ball valve. Piece of metal blew in eye. Did not go for medical treatment till 12/13/07, because he believed it was sand in eye and he had washed it out on night of 12/10/07.

WAS REPLACING TURN IDLER OVER HEAD ON CONVEYOR. WHEN PUSHNG UP ON IT DIRT FELL INTO LEFT EYE. IT WAS WINDY AND EMPLOYEE HAD SAFETY GLASSES ON.
WAS DRYING OFF STEEL WENT TO TURN AROUND & FOOT SLIPPED CAUSING THE INJURED TO LOOSE BALANCE. THE FORCE THAT WAS BEING HELD IN RIGHT HAND CAME IN CONTACT WITH LEFT HAND CAUSING THE BURN.
