This day there were high winds at the pit. sand and other material were plowing around the area. The operator got out of his rock truck and got dirt and rock in his eye. He did not have safety glasses on but he did have them around his neck.

3 EE'S WERE WORKING ON AN ELEVATED CONVEYOR WITHOUT FALL PROTECTION. THEY WERE ABOUT 10.6' OFF THE GROUND. EE LOST HIS FOOTING AND FELL OVER BACKWARDS. HE LANDED ON HIS HEAD AND RT. WRIST. EE WAS TAKEN TO THE HOSPITAL BY A COMP. TRUCK. EE HAS A FRACTURED NECK & A BROKEN RIGHT WRIST.
