EE was helping set up a port. Conveyer, he was handling the power cable when the cable was moved, pinning his left wrist between the cable and the cable bracket. EE suffered a broken bone in his left wrist.

EE WAS ATTEMPTING TO MOVE SOME LOSOE AND PACKED DIRT FROM A STEEP GYPSUM LEDGE OT CLEAR A PLACE TO SET THE DRILL MAST. HE WAS USING HIS RIGHT FOOT TO KICK THE DIRT OUT OF THE WAY. ALSO USED THE SIDE OF HIS FOOT AND IN DOING SO, TWISTED HIS RIGHT KNEE. EE DID NOT SEEK MEDICAL CARE UNTIL 2-24-99.

THE DRILL STEEL WAS STUCK. EE WAS NOT ABLE TO REMOVE THE STEEL WITH THE DRILLING EQUIPMENT, SO HE MANUALLY TRIED TO REMOVE THE STEEL. HE WAS DIRECTING ANOTHER PERSON TO MOVE THE ROLLERS INWARD AND HIS THUMB WAS PINCHED IN BETWEEN THE ROLLER EQUIPMENT AND THE STEEL.

A LARGE ROCK WOULD NOT GO THROUGH THE JAW CRUSHER. EE WAS PUTTING A CHAIN AROUND THE ROCK SO THEY COULD PULL IT OUT WITH THE LOADER. HE GOT HIS RIGHT THUMB, INDEX FINGER AND MIDDLE FINGER CR USHED BETWEEN THE ROCK AND THE JAW.
