Employee was taking a coal sample from a moving belt. Shovel struck in belt causing right hand to strike metal tunnel cover.

Employee had just replaced a return roller on the Riverside Crusher Feed Belt. While replacing the guard by the tail roller his left pinkie finger was caught between a hole in the expanded metal guard and another guard resulting in a fracture and laceration of this finger.
