While manuevering a man basket in order to change a splice on the "L" conveyor, employee was caught between conveyor frame and interior rail of man basket.

Employee was in the manlift, jacking a new bent pulley in place. He needed to relocate the manlift to better position the pulley, but the manlift would not retract. So employee then raised the boom on the manlift to free it up. At that time the cage on manlift released causing it to jump and strike employee in the left rib cage.
