HE THEN WENT TO THE DOCTOR AND FOUN D HE HAD INJURED AN ARTERY IN HIS LOWER LEG WHICH CAUSED SOME INTERNAL BLEEDING. HE TOOK 3 DAYS OFF AND THEN RETURNED TO WORK ON LIGHT DUTY FOR ANOTHER FIVE DAY PERIOD.

INJURED WAS ASSISTING MECHANIC THAT WAS INSTALLING NEW DRIVE CHAINS ON A MANITOWAC DRAGLINE,A HYDRAULIC JACK WAS USED TO TEMPORARILY HOLD ADJUSTMENT WHILE NEW CHAIN WAS WRAPPED AROUND DRIVE SP ROCKETS.THE HYDRAULIC JACK SLIPPED OUT OF POSITION STRIKING HIM IN THE RIGHT ARM AND THEN RIGHT SIDE OF THE FACE BREAKING HIS JAW BONE.
