Miner was at home on Sun. 6/28/13 felt a numbness in leg & lower back went to Dr. the next week to find he has a ruptured disc. He called in sick & turned in for his 2 weeks vacation. He called safety director on 7/10 to report he thought he injured his back at work & was not sure exactly when injury occurred but he thought it could have been 6/26/13 when he was moving a gear box.

EE was operating the D6 Dozer in the pit. He was backing up and backed over a rock, the back of the dozer came down hard on that side. EE was whipped to one side, hurting his neck. He was wearing his seatbelt. He worked for 1 hour before he reported it. We sent him to the ER to get it checked out.

Injured is an employee of TNT Drilling. He was attmepting to use the restroom in the woods behind the pit. As he bent over, a copperhead snake bit him on the butt. He was taken to the E.R. where a doctor determined he was not injected with venom. He returned to work that same afternoon.

While operating a bulldozer, miner went over a rock causing his hip to make contact with the armrest in the cab. Incident was not reported until member returned to work with a Doctor's note on Tuesday complaining of a sore hip/lower back pain.

While cutting rags for the shop, employee cut his finger when knife slipped out of his hand and he attempted to catch it. Member went to urgent care clinic and sturry strips were used to seal the cut so that it would heal. Employee suffered no lost work time other than that required to seek medical attention.
