Cessford Construction · Fall to the walkway or working surface

Employee was walking around the fuel trailer after fueling haul truck and tripped on the fuel hose. Employee fell landing on right knee & right arm & side of ribs. Was a very windy morning which was making employee's eyes water. Employee was wearing safety glasses. Abrasion on right knee with minor bleeding. Discomfort on right side of rib cage. 2 cracked ribs on right side.

EMPLOYEE WAS CHANGING THE BUCKET ON THE HITACHI. HE STRUCK THE BUCKET TOOTH TO KNOCK IT LOOSE AND A PIECE OF METAL LANCED INTO HIS LEFT FOREARM BETWEEN HIS WRIST AND ELBOW.
