Employee was starting his shift and entered his john boat to make his way to the dredge. When he went to pull start his boat the motor kicked back and pulled the pull cord out of his hand breaking the tip of employee's finger.

Pan was in down position that would cause tire to elevate off of ground by 4"-6". Tire has stored energy (potenetial energy) prior to breaking the tire free from the structure. When tire was freed, tire dropped, pivoting about left side putting employee's hand in a pinch point between the frame and the tire.

EMPLOYEE & 2 OTHER MEN WERE ABOUT TO CHANGE CLUTCH ON DUMP TRUCK-PULLING TRANSMISSION WITH JACK-TRANSMISSION NOT TIED TO JACK-FELL OFF AND LANDED ON INJURED'S LEFT HAND. L.H. INDEX FINGER WAS MASHED OFF BETWEEN FIRST AND SECOND JOINT.

THE INJURED EMPLOYEE WAS DRIVING JONBOAT TO WORK BOAT. AS HE APPROACHED THE BARGE WITH HIS HAND GRASPING EDGE OF JON BOAT, THE MOTION OF THE WATER PUSHED THE TWO BOATS TOGETHER CATCHING THE FI NGER BETWEEN THEM. THE TIP OF THE RIGHT 3RD FINGER WAS LACERATED. X-RAYS SHOWED NO BONE DAMAGE. NO STITCHES WERE REQUIRED. PAIN MEDICATION WAS PRESCRIBED.

EE WAS CLIMBING ONTO LOADER WHEN HE HIT HIS RIGHT KNEE ON THE LADDER.LATER IN THE DAY THE KNEE BECAME SWOLLEN. HE WAS TREATED IN THE EMERGENCY ROOM. THE KNEE WAS DRAINED AND PAIN MEDICATION PR ESCIBED.TWO DAYS LATER THE EE WAS ADMITTED INTO THE HOSPITAL FOR 3 DAYS HE IS TO RETURN IN 2 WKS FOR REMOVAL OF STITCHES. THE PATIENT HAS HAD PROBLEM WITH KNEE BEFORE.
