A 38 YEAR OLD BELT EXAMINER WITH 12 YEARS 11 MONTHS MINNG EXPERIENCE WAS KILLED AS A RESULT OF A METHANE GAS EXPLOSION. THE VICTIM WAS CONDUCTING AN EXAMINATION OF THE WORKING SECTION WHEN THE METHANE WHICH HAD ACCUMULATED BECAUSE OF AN INTERRUPTION IN THE VENTILATION, WAS IGNITED B Y A CAUSE YET TO BE DETERMINED.
