MECHANIC WAS REMOVING TIRE AND RIM FROM LOADER. HAD DEFLATED AIR PRESSURE TO 10-20 PSI BUT WAS UNAWARE THAT IT WAS A 2 PIECE SPLIT RIM. REMOVED LUG BOLT CAP SCREWS AND THE RIM TO RIM CLAMPING BOLTS AND THE REMAINING AIR PRESSURE PROJECTED THE OUTER RIM HALF OUTWARD VIOLENTLY, HITTING THEMECHANIC, CAUSING SEVERE HEAD INJURY.
