Miner cutting hose with knife while holding hose in hand. Knife slippped and cut hand. Gloves were not worn while cuttting hose.

Wilder Construction Company · Over-exertion in lifting objects

Miner was picking up a roll of scrap conveyor belting that weighed approximately 75 pounds. After lifting the roll he turned his upper body and felt pain in his back. Miner failed to obtain help or use equipment as required when lifting heavy or awkward loads.

Miner was changing screen deck on 6/28/06 and felt slight pain in back but continued to work. Pain worse on 7/1/06 and sought medical attention. He was treated for pinched nerve/strain in his back.

Cutting flashing with razor knife to repair a leak in the conveyor and the knife cut left forearm, the knife slipped on the flashing. Received 3 stitches and went back to work.
