Employee was cutting a piece of rubber hose and his razor blade slipped and cut his left leg above the knee

Supervisor was driving a pin in the track of the Hyundai Trackhoe with a 10lb hammer. A piece of the pin broke off and went into injury's left leg. He had to have 7 stiches.

Fall to the walkway or working surface

Employee was trying to untangle the dredge tail line that was wrapped around the pontoons. He put a shovel under the tail line to move it and when he did, he fell into the boat on his left side and injured his left knee and left wrist.

Contact with heat

Employee was fusing a pipeline together and he got too hot. He was nauseated, had blurred vision, and was seeing black spots out of his right eye.

Struck against stationary object

Employee was on top of a fuel tank taking a pressurized cap off. He did not use the pressure relief valve first and the pressure threw him against the cab of the truck and then he fell to the ground. Employee has internal bruising around the rib area and a bruised left foot.

EE was laying a 55 gallon drum, full of oil, down on the ground. He pinched his fingers between the oil drum and a spool of rope.

Employee was unclogging a drain pipe with a stick and his right hand slipped and hit the drain pipe. His hand was scraped and swollen.

Employee was boarding the workboat. He stepped onto the bow with his left foot and his right foot sank in the wet sand, therefore not giving him enough strength to get on the boat. His left leg twisted at the knee and he landed on all fours inside the boat. He was carrying supplies in his arms.

Employee was tightening an impeller on a gravel pump with a pipe wrench. The wrench slipped and cut a gash on his forehead above his right eye.

EE was returning boat to dredge. He was on deck chaining boat off when the high wall collapsed and caused the boat to pull away. The hook on the chain stabbed his finger.

Employee was checking the bearing on the outboard side of a Diester vibrator. He was turning the timing gears and pinched his right index finger.

While striking a cable cutter with a 12 lb hammer, a foreign object flew into employee's right eye. He was not wearing his safety goggles.

EE WAS BREAKING PIPELINE TO ADD A JOINT IN POND. HE SLIPPED AND LANDED ON THE SIDE OF THE BOAT, HITTING HIS UPPER THIGH AND LEFT BACKSIDE OF BODY.

THIS ACCIDENT WAS JUST REPORTED TO US THIS WEEK (4/22/04). EMPLOYEE NEVER MENTIONED ANY INJURY WHILE EMPLOYED. WE HAVE NO DETAILS ABOUT WHEN OR HOW THE INJURY HAPPENED OR ABOUT ANY TREATMENT RECEIVED. EMPLOYEE SAYS INJURY HAPPENED 8/10/03, A SUNDAY, WHEN THE PLANT WAS NOT WORKING. HE WORKED THE FOLLOWING 6 DAYS AND WAS FINE.

EE WAS CLIMBING INTO A BOAT FROM DREDGE. THE HANDRAIL BROKE. HE GRABBED THE SPUD CARRIAGE TO KEEP FROM FALLING, AND THE HANDRAIL FELL ON HIS LEFT HAND BRUISING HIS THUMB AND INDEX FINGER.
