Over-exertion in lifting objects

Worker was helping install sluice pipe. He is primarily a trucker, and rarely performs manual labor for an entire shift. At the end of the shift, he complained of back pain. He sought chiropractic care on 5/21/04. He did not visit an MD until 6/14/04. Injured worker has lower back pain. He has been transferred to sedentary work at his normal wage.

Fall to the walkway or working surface

EE WAS ASSISTING IN CHANGING THE 12"" FLEX COUPLING ON THE DREDGE SUCTION . THE SAFETEY CABLE BROKE THE COUPLING STRUCK HIM IN THE CHEST. HE LANDED ON HIS LEFT KNEE. ( HE HAD PREVIOUS SURGERY O N HIS KNEE PRE-DATING HIS EMPLOYMENT.
