Climbing down off of EX1100 Excavator, feet slipped out from under person, held body with both arms on ladder handrails. Pulled arms, shoulders & chest. Hanging 8-10" above ground, eased body off onto ground.

Service man was climbing off EX-1100 after putting oil in machine, lost his footing and fell approx 3' and landed on right side, hurting lower back.
