Operator was climbing down stairs of compactor to check out a rattling sound on the machine. Employee was not following company policy of 3 points of contact when exiting a machine and slipped on the stairs falling into compactor wheel. Employee complained of pain in shoulder and back and was taken to hospital for testing.
