Maintenance employee was working on an aggregate discharge chute under a non-operating screening unit, from a step ladder. Weather conditions were damp, light rain. Employee slipped from ladder step while reaching for a part, falling approx. 6-7 ft, landing on a conv. tailpulley guard on his left side, resulting in a mild concussion and 4 broken ribs.

EE WAS ROLLING BUCKET BACK TO HOLD CART IN BUCKET, WHEN HE SLIPPED ON ICE AND GRABBED THE TOP EDGE OF T HE BUCKET TO KEEP FROM FALLING AS BUCKET WAS BEING ROLLED BACK AND HIS HAND SMASHED BETWEEN TOP OF BUCKET AND THE PIVOT ARM.
