DeAtley Crushing Co · Caught in, under or between a moving and a stationary object

Worker was helping to load a welding skid on a trailer. When the skid was lifted the load started to swing. The worker reached out Right hand to stabilize the load. The little finger of the hand was pinched between the skid and a truck scale already loaded on the trailer. This smashed the finger between the two objects and broke the skin on the little finger. Required stitches.

Setting a conveyor belt in place. The worker was placing blocking under the conveyor support when the load shifted downward, smashing the worker's Left thumb between the block and the conveyor leg. This cut the tip of the thumb and required stitches to close the wound.

Laborer kneeling & stemming blastholes set hand shovel down behind self, truck moved forward with spotter direction, approx 5mph. Passenger front tire caught shovel-end; shovel handle kicked up and knocked laborer to the ground, legs extended in tire path. Tire ran over legs. No fractures or lacerations were sustained. Employee was released from the hospital same day.
