EE STATES HE WAS UNTANGLING THE RUBBER MINE CABLE FROM THE WIRE ROPE TAILCABLE ON THE DREDGE. HE HELD THE WIRE ROPE CABLE IN HIS RIGHT HAND AND AS HE FLIPPED ONE OF THE FLATS SUPPORTING THE MI NE CABLE WITH HIS LEFT HAND, HIS RIGHT INDEX FINGER GOT PINCHED BETWEEN THE TWO CABLES.

EE STATES HE WAS IN THE PROCESS OF ALIGNING 2 PIECES OF PIPE TO BE FUSED TOGETHER. THE 2' PIECES BACKHOE AND EE WAS GUIDING THE OTHER END THROUGH THE MACHINES SADDLES. EE PULLED ON PIPE BECAUS E IT GOT JAMMED OR HUNG UP ON SADDLE. MOMENTUM OF PIPE SWUNG ON INTO ANOTHER AND EE S FINGERS WERE CAUGHT IN BETWEEN.
