2 CONTRACT EE'S WERE SPREADING STRAW IN THE RECLAMATION AREA OF THE PIT. THEY RETURNED TO THE LOWBOY & FOUND EE SLUMPED OVER THE WHEEL OF HIS TRACTOR. IT WAS DETERMINED LATER THAT HE DIED OF NATURAL CAUSES. EMT'S STATED THAT HE DIED OF A HEART ATTACK.

EMPLOYEE WAS TRYING TO PRIZE A BIG ROCK OUT OF THE TAIL PULLEY ON THE CONVEYOR BELT WITH A 5 FT BAR. THE ROCK BURST CAUSING THE CONVEYOR BELT TO ROLL BACKWARDS. THIS CAUSED HIS HAND TO BE CAUG HT BETWEEN THE PRY BAR & CONVEYOR FRAME.
