IN PREPARATION TO REMOVE AUGER HEAD FROM MACHINE, EE REMOVED CUTTING BITS AND PREPARED TO MOVE FROM UNDER HIGHWALL. HE SLIPPED AND GRABBED HOLED OF THE HEAD GUIDE TO PREVENT FALLING. OPERATOR TIGHTENED BOOM CABLE AT THIS TIME, PULLING UP ON HEAD AND PINCHING HIS LITTLE FINGER/ LEFT HAND BETWEEN HEAD AND GUIDE. FRACTURE AND LACERATIONS TO FINGER RESULTED.
