HE WAS ASSISTING IN APPLYING A CHAIN ON #117 CONVEYOR STACKER, WHEN A CHAIN ON A COME-A-LONG THAT WAS ASLREADY SECURED BROKE. A STRONG NORTHERLY WIND WAS BLOWING AT THE TIME OF THE ACCIDENT. T HE CHAIN STRUCK THE EMPLOYEE ON THE RIGHT EYE AND RIGHT SIDE OF HIS FACE. THE EMPLOYEE SUFFERED A SEVERE LACERATION TO HIS RIGHT CHEEK AND THE LOSS OF HIS RIGHT EYE.
