EE PULLED A ROPE TO OPEN A CHUTE ON AGGREGATE CRUSHING PLANT. THE ROPE BROKE, EE LOST BALANCE. TO BREAK FALL HE EXTENDED LEFT ARM. UPON IMPACT HE BROKE HIS LEFT WRIST.

EE HAD JUST EMPTYED A TRASH CAN AND STEPPED BACKWARDS WHEN HE STUMBLED AND STARTED TO FALL. HE PLACED HIS LEFT HAND BEHIND HIM TO STOP THE FALL. WHEN HE FELL, HIS LEFT ARM AND SHOULDER TOOK AL L HIS WEIGHT CAUSING A SHOULDER INJURY. FALL OCCURRED IN A LEVEL AREA ON CRUSHED STONE, WITH NO REASON TO TRIP OVER ANYTHING.

EE WAS TACKING A LOAD OF BLOCK TOP AND PULLED ONE OF THE TIE DOWN STRAPS WHICH WAS UNDER SOME BLOCK TOP AS HE TRIED TO FREE IT THE ROPE BROKE CAUSING HIM TO FALL BACKWARD OF THE TRUCK ON TO TH E GROUND.

HE WORKED THE REST OF HIS SHIF T THEN WENT TO A DOCTOR WHEN SUGGESTED HE STAY OFF OF HIS LEG FOR A DAY. NO PERMANENT DAMAGE THEN EXPECTED.
