Suncore Construction and Materials Inc. · Absorption of radiations, caustics, toxic and noxious substances

Miner was using a fire extinguisher to put out a rag fire in a cabinet of a service truck and inhaled some of the chemical from the extinguisher. The fire started from a grinding spark flying into an open cabinet. The miner noticed the smoke while operating his loader and ran over and put it out. The fire was small and put out in a matter of a couple minutes.

Two miners were lifting a roll of geo grid into a loader bucket. The roll slipped out of one miner's hands and caused the other miner to lose his grip and drop the roll of geo grid on his foot. The miner broke the big toe on his left foot.

Miner was helping a mechanic finish repairs on a GenSet. He was installing the raincap on the exhaust stack. He was pushing down and wiggling the cap and the cap slipped on suddenly pinching the miners finger (middle) cutting the tip of it off.
