AN UNPLANNED ROOF FALL OCCURRED ON THE WORKING SECTION AT APPROX 10:00 AM ON 2/28/94. THE FALL OCCURRRD IN THE #4 ENTRY, 5 CROSSCUTS OUTBY THE FACES. THE FALL MEASURED 19' W X 60' L X 8' H. TH E ROOF IN THIS AREA WAS IN TRANSITION FROM SHALE TO SANDSTONE. THE PRIMARY ROOF SUPORT IN THE FALL AREA CONSISTED OF 48" FULLY GROUTED RESIN BOLTS.
