Employee was working the stone processor and got left ring finger caught between safety guard and a stone. Finger nearly amputated. Middle phalange fractured and dislocated. At this time it is expected that he will not lose the finger.

EMPLOYEE MOVED LARGE STONES BY HAND WITHOUT ASKING CO-WORKERS FOR HELP. DEVELOPED GROIN PAIN & HE REPORTED THE INCIDENT TO HIS SUPERVISOR & WENT HOME. DR. DIAGNOSED EPIDIDIMITIS THAT MAY HAVE BEEN AGGRAVATED BY LIFTING. RETURNED TO WORK 9/15/04 AFTER COMPLETING ANTIBIOTICS & EE WAS ON LIGHT DUTY FOR 2 WEEKS.
